Ninagawa Mika 's colourful world//

Ninagawa Mika ---is one of the Japanese famous photogarapher, vivid colour is a symbol of her work. Her work is highly acclaimed across the generations from teen fashion magazines to high-end commercial fashion and advertising.

Her self-directed film "sakuran" has been officially entered into the Berlinale Special section of the 57th Berlin International Film Festival.

She does not only specialize in portrait photography, but also in still life photography of flowers, goldfish and landscapes.

I really like the color that she play in her photograph, its bright, shocking, vivid colour with big contrast make the whole picture more lively, joyful, wonder, delicious feeling..some kind of back to the 60s ...

In this picture she use the contrasting colour red and green , but it looks good, it shock the people's eyes, and pop the model out from the background. ...

Recently, Mika co-operate with shu uemura and release a new collection, with mika's photo as the package of shu uemura's cosmetic..it's really a good idea, with the colourful eye shadow...lip gross..it really match with shu's image too.

I thnk.. maybe this kind of vivid colour can also use in fashion,
play with the bright primary color, it maybe another kind of beauty...and reflet the feminacy of woman's beauty...

Christia Lacroix Profile

Christian Marie Marc Lacroix (May 16, 1951 in Arles, France) is a high-end French fashion designer. Born in Arles, France, at a young age he began sketching historical costumes and fashions. He studied history of art at the University of Montpellier and then enrolled at the Sorbonne in Paris. While working on a dissertation on dress in French 18th-century painting, Lacroix also pursued a program in museum studies at the Louvre Museum. In 1978 he joined the French firm Hermès, where he worked on color schemes and the execution of designs.

From 1981 to 1987 Lacroix worked at the fashion house of Jean Patou, and in 1987 he opened his own couture and ready-to-wear business. With his background in historical costume and clothing, Lacroix soon made headlines with his opulent, fantasy creations, including the short puffball skirt (“le pouf”), rose prints, and low décolleté necklines. He quoted widely from other styles—from fashion history (the corset and the crinoline), from folklore, and from many parts of the world—and he mixed his quotations in a topsy-turvy manner. He favored the hot colors of the Mediterranean region, a hodgepodge of patterns, and experimental fabrics, sometimes handwoven in local workshops.
